About Fair Trade Wedding Stationery

The idea for Fair Trade Wedding Stationery came about when Chrissie Sherwood was visiting Iziko Lo Lwazi project whilst on a buying trip to South Africa in January 2007. The project already made goods for her company, Injabulo, so the quality of their work and the ladies and project leaders were already known to her. In November 2007, Chrissie visited the project again and worked alongside the ladies to get the product right and produce samples.  Fair Trade Wedding Stationery is now run by her sister Gill and her partner who are justifiably proud of the stunning stationery that has been produced; knowing the difference that sales of these products will make to all those working at the project.  For photos of the ladies involved and some of their stories please take a look at “The Project” page.
